Standard Carbon Inc., a Greenhouse Gas Verification Validation Body developing technological solutions for environmental assurance, announced their acceptance into the Association of International Chartered Professional Accountants’ (AICPA) start-up accelerator program – 2022 cohort.
“The Standard Carbon team is excited to be selected as part of the 2022 Start Up Accelerator. This represents a major milestone in Standard Carbon’s development, we can’t wait to meet the mentors and other founders. Acceptance into this program allows us to refine our technology to facilitate more streamlined and accurate greenhouse gas assurance statements”, says Alex, Stuart, President & CEO.
“We created this program five years ago as a way to identify emerging trends and drive innovation within the accounting profession,” said Erik Asgeirsson, President and CEO of CPA.com. “The Accelerator has been a great success, supporting leading-edge companies to help drive the transformation of accounting services in key areas such as blockchain, assurance, ESG and automation.”
The Startup Accelerator supports early-stage technology companies’ growth throughout the accounting and finance ecosystem. It also provides the AICPA and CPA.com more visibility into disruptive trends from emerging technologies that are transforming the accounting profession. Selected companies receive a $25,000 grant, participate in a six-month curriculum, receive guidance from expert advisors, and have an opportunity to showcase their solutions at AICPA ENGAGE, the profession’s largest conference.
